This is designed as an introduction to First Aid for the home and community. The course emphasises how to recognise an emergency, the basics of personal safety, how to obtain help, the ABC of Resuscitation, CPR (adults and children), Asphyxia (choking & drowning), and the Recovery Position.

It then demonstrates the management of heart attack, wounds (including bleeding & fractures), fits, poisons, electric shock, and burns. A certificate of attendance is issued on completion.
