Oxygen Therapy course- duration ½ day

This course is aimed at those people who are already proficient in basic life support, holding a current, valid, First Aid at Work certificate (or equivalent) and who would like to be able to administer oxygen. The course covers basic airway management, the storage, administration & safe usage of oxygen.
The Health & Safety (First Aid) Reg. 1981 and their Codes of Practice (2004) state that special additional training can be undertaken so that first aiders can cope with particular problems and is taken as an extension to the basic training.
An independent, qualified person will examine each candidate, and a certificate of competence will be issued valid for 6 months.
