In 1992 the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) recommended that all European schools should include a graded programme of Basic Life Support training within the curriculum.

This is designed as an all-round introduction to Resuscitation for children, and emphasises how to recognise an emergency and obtain help, personal safety, the ABC of Resuscitation, CPR and the Recovery Position.

A Certificate of attendance is issued on completion of the course.
